Khatuna Chapichadze is a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, political scientist, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Study and Scientific-Research Institute of European Studies (SSRIES), as well as a Supervisor of the Bachelor's Educational Program in European Studies at the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences, Georgian Technical University (Georgia); Adjunct Faculty Member at the Department of Political Science, San Diego State University (SDSU), San Diego (CA, United States); Pol S 101 Professor at SDSU-G since 2017. At the same time she has been a Researcher-Coordinator of the GTU Gender Equality Research Center (GERC) and Expert of the Central-European Institute of Research and Strategic Analysis CIRSA, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Poland (since 2017). Ms. Chapichadze served as Academic Staff at the Faculty of Economics, VSB -Technical University of Ostrava under the INFINITY Erasmus+ (Ostrava, Czech Republic) (2015), Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (Poland) (2015), and a Reviewer of the Scientific Journal “Ante Portas - Security Studies”, indexed in Index Copernicus International and issued by the College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (Poland) (2015). Being a Head, she was in charge of the Grants Department at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Center of Research for the Study of Georgian Complex Development Issues (CRSGCDI) in 2013-2015, and has been a Permanent Member of NGO - Georgian Young Political Scientists' Association, as well as a Member of Business Advisory Council of Georgia. Ms. Chapichadze had been successfully selected as a UNESCO Fellow under the UNESCO/Poland Co-sponsored Fellowships Programme 2010-2011 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (Poland). She served as a Director of the Initiative Group “Elbitics” Project “LBT Self-Publishing House” at the Women’s Initiatives Supporting Group (WISG) under the Second Grants Competition, announced by the Women's Fund in Georgia in 2009. Khatuna Chapichadze has authored 2 monographs (1 international monograph published in English (in Germany), and 1 monograph in Georgian, with the summary in English), 1 scientific collection (published in Georgian, with the preface in English), 48 scientific articles (published in Georgian, English, and Russian, with the summaries and/or abstracts in English, Russian, Georgian, and Polish (for local and international editions)), 82 conference reports and presentations (in Georgian, English, and Russian (for local and international conferences), more than 100 syllabi (in Georgian, English, and Russian). She is a responsible editor, member of editorial board, and responsible secretary of 7 collections (published in Georgian), and an editor of 1 textbook in English. Among her works are scientific and popular publications on neoliberal development, democratization, political and economic theories and practices in Georgia, post-Soviet and post-socialist, as well as in other countries; religious, national and geopolitical aspects of security in the South Caucasus, problems of ethnic and national identity in the Caucasus, diverse impacts of nationalism in the South Caucasus. Research interests: in the areas of social sciences, humanities, European studies, American studies, economics, international relations, political economy, geopolitics, security studies, integrity education, human rights education, Georgian studies; examining neoliberalism, globalization, American politics in global perspective, European integration and  regional integration issues, newest history of Georgia, etc.
