San Diego State University (SDSU), a US state university with over 33,000 students located in Southern California, offers STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Technology) degree programs in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia. This program is funded through a compact signed between the U.S. Government's Millennium Challenge Corporation and the Government of Georgia, administered by SDSU.

Some of the highlights of the program include:
- SDSU Georgia students receive admission directly from SDSU home campus; they become fully matriculated SDSU students, studying at the Tbilisi campus.
- Upon graduation SDSU Georgia students receive internationally accredited American degree from San Diego State University; this is exact same degree, with all the accreditation (WASC. ACS and ABET).
- Courses are taught in English, using an identical curriculum to SDSU main campus.

San Diego State University programs in Georgia are designed to prepare students to excel in science and technology fields. The classrooms, engineering and science laboratories, and computer workstations are designed to meet the same criteria and provide the same technologies that are used in San Diego State University in the United States.
For the 2017-18 academic year, SDSU Georgia is offers six (6) STEM Bachelor degree programs in the fields of:
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Engineering
- Computer Science
2+2 and 3+1 options
3+1 Study first 3 years in Tbilisi, Georgia and last year at SDSU home campus in San Diego, California. No transfer is necessary as SDSU Georgia students are already SDSU students.
2+2 Study first 2 years in Tbilisi, Georgia and last 2 years at SDSU home campus in San Diego, California. No transfer is necessary as SDSU Georgia students are already SDSU students.
Students that choose to go to San Diego will be qualify for one-year OPT (Optional Practical Training) program in the United States, with the right to work and obtain practical work experience in the USA.
SDSU Georgia students are offered an opportunity to travel to San Diego, California and complete a semester or two there with the same tuition fee.
How do I apply?
Applications can be made online through www.calstate.edu, choosing SDSU republic of Georgia campus. There is a $55 application fee. Successful candidates will receive admission letter directly from SDSU office of admissions.
Required Documents for Admission:
- TOEFL – at least 70 (IBT), or 523 (PBT), or IELTS – at least 6.0.
- High school transcripts ( 10th, 11th, and 12th )
- Reference letters
- SAT & ACT (if available)
Tuition Fee & Financial Assistance
Tuition fee for SDSU Georgia programs will be 13,500 USD per year. SDSU Georgia financial assistance application form can be filled out electronically at our website. Students admitted to SDSU Georgia program will be eligible to receive a 25% tuition waiver base on merit and examination scores.
