Georgian Delegation to San Diego, California

On April 11, 2019 a Georgian delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of San Diego State University president Adela de la Torre. Dr. Adela de la Torre was recently appointed president of San Diego State University by the California State University Board of Trustees. She joined the campus in June 2018 as the ninth permanent president of SDSU and she is the first woman to serve in that role. During the events, President de la Torre and Rector of Ilia State University Dr. Giga Zedania and Rector of Tbilisi State University Dr. Gia Sharvashidze signed agreements aimed at continuing partnership with San Diego State University after the MCC Georgia II Compact period.
